Behaviour Support Hub

A visual journey to empowerment

Meet Behaviour Support Hub, a dynamic parent-led organisation providing practical support and advice to parent carers in Wales, specifically those raising children and young people with challenging behaviors. In the process of acquiring charitable status, the organisation, formerly known as “Challenging Behaviour Support CIC,” embarked on a transformative journey with myself. Our mission: to refresh their brand identity, expand their reach, and establish visual consistency across all marketing materials.

The Challenge

Behaviour Support Hub (BSH) is more than just a support hub; it’s a catalyst for positive change, empowering parents and carers through skill development, insight, training, and a robust peer support network. Our rebranding endeavour aimed to encapsulate these vital elements while preserving the rainbow symbol as a representation of ongoing transformation and lifelong change.

The challenges were twofold. Firstly, the existing logo was outdated, non-scalable, and failed to mirror the organisation’s aspirations. Secondly, the old branding lacked consistency across various platforms, from social media to PowerPoint presentations and stationery. On the website front, issues included diverse user needs, information accessibility problems, fragmented content, redundant sign-up forms, and the imperative for a more professional appearance to showcase their exceptional team.

The Process

Our strategic approach for the website design focused on simplifying navigation, consolidating information, and implementing clear color coding to spotlight different programs and their target audiences. The outdated logo underwent a transformative process, evolving into a dynamic representation of a rainbow “in motion” with symbolic elements of progress, central support hubs, and the celebration of neurodiversity.

Delving deeper into the logo design, the central point and semi-circles forming an “eye” speak to the organisation’s encouragement of parents and carers to celebrate the uniqueness of their children. Circles, representing unity, contribute to a sense of togetherness, echoing the support network, friendship aspects, and wellness elements of the business. The chosen sans-serif font, with its blend of rounded letters and edges, adds a friendly and confident touch, complementing the icon seamlessly.

The Outcome

The rebranding effort extended beyond the digital realm, encompassing full brand rollout on PowerPoint templates, roller banners, merchandise, posters, flyers and a bilingual brochure to advertise their services. The playful integration of rainbow arches from the logo into marketing collateral adds personality and vibrance, tying everything together seamlessly.

The refreshed brand image achieved a perfect balance—warm, professional, and aligned with the mission and target clients, while still paying homage to the organisation’s roots. The project was a resounding success, leaving the Behaviour Support Hub team eager to embrace their new identity.

Being part of this transformative journey was truly a pleasure, and I invite you to explore the vibrant visual transformation showcased in the images presented.
